I really enjoyed this PowerPoint. It is squared away with the details. The color choices are very professional. The length of the power point is very long and it is not tedious at all. There are no overlapping points in this power point and Kyle followed all the directions that were needed for this presentation. As for the person that Kyle chose to do his project on, I think he made a really great choice. Kyle’s small business owner sounds like a very dedicated person. From the power point it can be assumed that Kyle's small business owner Joe followed in his father's footsteps to take over the company and keep it going. I also find it cool that Joe grew up around the business. He already had a foot in the door. While my business owner just jumped right in with the risks. There can be a lot of risks for Kyle's business owner as well, but not as much; because he had experience learned growing up. It is cool that Kyle's small business owner has different strategies that he uses with his business than my small business owner did and it's amazing how similar the challenges are. I like the list of critical success factor that Kyle’s business owner gave him. Communication and changing to fit the needs of the clients are very important factors needed for a good business. Excelling in these areas will make the business much more profitable. Joe seems like he has a very well handled business. He wants to expand and diversities his products. This seems like a very good idea he already has experience and knows what the business can and cannot handle. The business has been open for 52 years and a business that has the ability to stay open that long will most likely have a better chance at expanding because it seems like it has a really good reputation. Joe has really good advice that he gave to the class because it does take risk to open your own business and reading to always stay ahead in the work could also benefit opening a small business.
Very well done slideshow I was interested in what the business was about when i read the cover slide as well as your connection to it. It is very impressive that they have been in business for so long and survived through such a terrible economic downturn. The industry they are in is very unique and not often heard about that is why i enjoyed reading about it as well being enlightened by their success. It really proves that even with one learned skill from your family you can turn it into a business and achieve success. I was also interested in the relation you had to the company. What does your mom do for the company and how long has she worked for them? Do you plan on going into work with them or using any of their advice or experience towards your future career? Are at all interested in becoming an entrepreneur or starting your own business? If so , what business are you interested in getting into? Great slideshow and job well done!
