I like this business PowerPoint presentation. The first thing I want to say about it is how it is set up. Everything is organized and it has his success in order so you get the beginning part on how it became a business and present day success. I think he started a sole proprietorship and made it into a business just on his own. The organization is the key to this presentation. If it wasn’t organized it all wouldn’t go together. I like how he puts the background of the company and his degree. The degree is very important because that’s what helped him be able to start the company. I wouldn’t say help him start it but got him to be able to. His background is nice because it shows what he is going to accomplish and what he plans on ending up being. The summery at the end of the presentation is sick because he pretty much gives you words of wisdom and gives you his perspective on how to start a business just like he did.
Hey Tyler, I thought that this slide show was put together very nicely. To tell you the truth I was very shocked at the success your fathers business has had. What ken Leblanc did was define what an entrepreneur really is. As the book defines it an entrepreneur is a “Person who risks time and money to start and manage a business.” What Mr. LeBlanc did to me didn’t make a lot of sense. Why would you start a business in an industry you know nothing about? Personally the idea to me is dumbfounding and too risky. On the other hand he did have some elements to benefit the idea of starting his own company. These included a strong business background and a college degree. I am assuming that the degree he received from Holy Cross had to do with business. The first thing that I found very interesting about this presentation was that out of all the industry choices, he chose the oil industry. Might I add that that was a very smart decision on his part. Oil is one of, if not America’s biggest necessity as far as resources are concerned. The oil industry is always in good business. America doesn’t run on Dunkin, it runs on oil. We need oil for everything it powers our machines, and keeps the country going. Another thing that I found interesting about the slide show was the amount of success that LeBlanc Oil has had. Now as I had stated in the previous paragraph I think it was a good choice going into the oil industry because profits will be continuous, but the size of the company in comparison to the success it has amazes me. The LeBlanc Oil Company only has 9 employees yet is the largest oil distributor in central Massachusetts. To me that is unreal, but I must agree that they have to have excellent service to achieve this goal. And as the book discusses the most important thing to a company is its customers. So as long as the customers are happy then LeBlanc Oil will continue to succeed.
Hey Tyler I never knew your family owned a oil company, right now I think that is one of the best businesses to be in since soon oil will be rural resource on this earth , soon it will be gone and right now we are facing the soon to be affects of high prices cause people to lose money. As a read thru the presentation I understood that you’re family is the type of business owner that we need all around the world people who listen to the customer and people who make price cheap for people who are going thru a hard time. Because right now many people are getting laid off and having a hard time with the economy, and with a business own who doesn’t raise prices with the economy but to keep it low for people with low income to afford the cost of oil. I thought that start a business that you have no idea in how to run or manage is not a smart idea being that you don’t know how to know to run a business like such or how even to get what you need to subtend that sir business. But don’t get me wrong you can do it I’ll give you an example the creation of Microsoft, Bill Gates didn’t know what he was doing he just did what he loved to do, that the thing that people who think about starting their own business but don’t. If you love to do something then do what you love and it will get you to where you need it to take you, it did for bill gates what makes you any different. I love that the business services to the community and it deserves to the the best company in Central, Ma when a business services to the community it describes what a true small needs to be like. I hope that your business lasts for years to come and the new ideas that you had presented in the presentation fall thru and you make more profit and I hope you hold the best oil company in Central, MA you deserve it.
Leblanc Oil Incorporation This was a very good power point presentation, the design that was used was very appropriate for the information that was given. The title page was well suited for a heating company. To be honest, I would be able to determine that this was some form of a heating company just by the use of warm colors. I also like the fact that you maintained the same font size and pictures at the bottom of each slide this shows consistency in your work. The content of the slide was great. The first slide that I would like to talk about was the one that talked about the company, this was one of my favorites because it gave a great description of what the company is and does and where it’s located. The fact that you not only mentioned the fact that the company was under limited liability but you also defined what it was is a good addition. I also liked the products page that described the services that was being provided to customers. One thing I noticed was that the title of the third slide didn’t really match the content. The title was called background, but when I read the slide it was basically like a slogan of the company. The slide after that was more like a background because it talked about the history of the company and the steps it took to get there. The plans and goals of this company were very promising, and based on the accomplishments slide it looks like this company I well on its way to meeting them. It’s amazing that there are now six trucks instead of the one that was had in the beginning. This shows tremendous growth. The questions that were asked were pretty good, I liked the fact that you asked the question about what is done to help the business outside of its normal hours because as a business owner, it is important that you put in more time than everyone else. Once again this was over all a very god presentation with the exception of some grammatical errors.
