Mickey D’s

McDonald’s is Americas greatest franchise story, from going from one single store in a small county to thousands and thousands of stores all over the globe. Being such a great empire the business is bound to get some type of criticism. One huge thing that the business is having trouble with getting over is the criticism that the business is promoting obesity. Many people in the world view McDonald’s as a fat producing factory where most of their customers have some type of obesity. Too many health critics, McDonalds is their worst nightmare because of their nutritional facts; they are absolutely awful. McDonald’s calorie counts go through the roof as well as their grams of fat. McDonald’s does acknowledge that their burgers and fries are not the healthiest things in the world. The McDonald’s C.E.O’s day that it is not their fault, they say McDonalds should be a treat and not an everyday type of meal. They also say that the people that come into McDonald's need to their own healthy choices. I agree with that fact. Everyone in the world knows that the burgers and fries are not good for you, so it is your own fault if you go and eat there multiple times a week; of course you will become obese. Another challenge that McDonald's faces is their menu selection, just because many critics feel as if their foods are filled with fat. In recent years McDonald’s has come back to change their menus to make gourmet salads and even fresh snack wraps. McDonald’s goal is to be able to put into the customers mind that they do have a choice when they go into the restaurant. The customer does not have to buy the Big Mac and fries they can buy a salad and be a lot healthier. Being such a big business you are going to receive some sort of criticism just because no one is perfect and their can always be improvements. Now to be a successful business it is up to you to decide what you are going to do with that criticism. You can let it get to you, or you can use it productively and change what you are doing and use it as an editing tool. McDonalds has done just that and is now one of the biggest empires of all time.
